What fun we have had….. Here are the highlights:
M has had a wonderful thanksgiving weekend, many reasons to be thankful (per his own words) He started off his weekend by his best buddy (who he hasnt seen in months) and I suprising him at school on Wed. and picking him up
The two of them played for hours …. Then of course we had Thanksgiving day and we all ate more then we needed to! He got to go have a sleep over at Nanee’s and that was HUGE fun, as he hasn’t done that in months either.
I got up at 5am and hit the stores, OMG can I just share oh what fun we had. My friend G had never gotten up at the crack of dawn of before and hit the stores, well let me tell you he now been officially christiened with that whole process and event. LOL – I do think he might even do it again
we hit 3 stores in 4 1/2 hours
now for those of you that know me shopping is not one of my favorite activities but holy cow did we accomplish a ton
GO US!! I am officially 99% done for MIchael. My mom is about 90% done and I even bought myself stuff to wrap and put under the tree (from Santa) don’t you know
as this will be M’s last year to be all about Santa. So I am milking it for sure. I picked up M at 10am and brought him home, we hung out and then he was able to go to the movies with J and his mom L and have a play date aftewards…. He had a BLAST OF A DAY!
Today … Saturday (by the way this has been the longest weekend known to man) We haven’t stopped but yet it’s been very restful. M is to go to his dad’s but that is not an activity he is up for these days, (long story and totally not going to exploit that situation here or at least not now) so he is telling me this morning he doesnt’ want to go (again) so we are going to the library this morning to get Spider man movies (I think the ole cartoon ones) and then we are going to Bed Bath and Beyond as there are a few things I need there (um, a cookie sheet) I have probably 8 dozen cookies to make today – HELP ME LORD
(I LOVE IT THOUGH) as my annual cookie decorating day is tomorrow – and I cannot wait … it begins at 1pm and we have new friends coming this year …. of course I will have pictures galore to share I am sure
In Attendeance this year: we will be joined by G’s Boys, our new friends J and her twin boys that we have known for a while but are becoming better friends as one of them is in M’s class this year. Of course P and her daughters
Hopefully are friend J and then of course D and her son J – should be a hoot of a great time! C may stop by after church, (KEEPING FINGERS CROSSED) and S has to work – DARN IT – but her 2 kids might be stopping by – let’s hope so, it would be so nice to see them.
So that is M’s and my update thus far… we do so hope taht everyone is having there own rock star weekend – PEACE OUT
Ah yes, we have been blessed to celebrate yet another Thanksgiving!
I sit back enjoying my morning java and reflect on the past Thanksgiving’s and what the celebrations have been like for me over the past years…..
there have been times with the Elliott clan that seriously make my heart melt, there have been many with the Staub clan that warm my spirit, I think back and appreciate my childhood memories that my mom and dad worked so hard to give me, what wonderful memories I have.
there have been times with past spouses (I know I know, but how else am I supposed to word it?) I sit back and think about … especially those thanksgiving’s with the O’Brien’s …. making the stuffing with L and then having a pumpkin explosion….
I am so grateful that my mom is living so close by now, and that we are able to give M wonderful childhood memories .. I am so grateful for M – and that God blessed me to be his mom – it amazes me that out of all the women in th eworld I was given the opportunity to be M’s mom, seriously so grateful for that.
I am very blessed to have my family … I am very blessed to have such incredible friends and support (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE SISTERS) true friends … who love, care, support, extend themselves, and never judge … but hold M and I close to their hearts. I love you!
I am so grateful too, for the opportunity to own and love (cherish too) the 3 Bears- I know I will never have another opportunity to have 3 at the same time and I am just celebrating!!
Happy Thanksgiving friends and family – M and I adore you all and truly feel grateful on this Thanksgiving Day!

What a great night! M had a blast, and I had a blast too – what fun to see him get so excited to receive his trophy! He beamed …. the coach had great things to say about each player as they went up to receive their award. Then… at the end of our team getting their awards, … our coach (who I have to let you all know I adore!) said to the team, who’s the best team mom … and the kids all yelled KAROL MAJOR – OMG I wanted to cry – warmed my heart and my spirit – there are approxmiately 10 – 12 teams in our league, can you stand it???? It completely cracked me up and of course M beamed even bigger -
so we are home. and curled up getting ready for bed…. good night overall! M has a field trip tomorrow which he is very excited about too – and a visit with his dad tomorrow night which I have been asking God to surround them in love and blessings.
That’s our update for now, rock on and peace out!

Where do weekends go anyway? …. wow we never did decorate yesterday – the entire day got away from us. Oh well. This week it might work out – this weekend I am supposed to have a girls night out – adventure in Lake Geneva, I have been preparing M that I wont be home for a night, and hopefully that will all work out well.
M is thrilled as tonight is our football banquet – long time coming and the anticipation is about killing him. He should be receiving his trouphy and that is like the best part of playing any sport – well at least in M’s world and opinion.
(of course I will have pictures I am sure to post) he has a fun field trip on Tuesday and at the last minute has begged me to attend - I didnt plan well enough so I am not going to be able to – this mom seriously needs to get on top of it. DARN IT
That’s the update on our homefront this morning – hope everyone is doing well and rocking out where you are!

Sunday finds us in a happy place. M had made the request a while ago that we get ourselves back to church… so off we went today and both of us are beyond happy with our decision to attend. We went to a church we had not been to before. We both found tears streaming down our faces…. all good for sure.
We were joined by our dear friends, so we had a entire entorage go with us (per M’s request) and to our delight they all said yes, we had P, D and Mom join us – we rocked out in the very comfy pews and listened to a long but wonderful message -
However, I have jumped right into today without sharing some past updates that are important to validate.
M participates in a support group of sorts at school on Thursday’s – called Rainbows … He loves it – and this week’s activity consisted of a game regarding emotions…. he threw his bean bag and it came up with “Happy” he then had to share what makes him happy… his response, when momma takes me to church! WOO HOO Love that so of course part of my motivation to get us there today.
M is experiencing what I believe to be an overwhelming amount of emotions… and rightfully so… It would not behoove me to share openly as to the cause or the conversation that has been brought to my attention… but please keep my boy in your prayers …. as he NEEDS both his parents now and every day… God only gave each of us ONE SET OF PARENTS to do the best job we can do… no-one said being a mom or a dad was going to be easy, but we have to do the best we can do for and by our children.
we just finished up with Lunch, and we both agreed we are excited to begin decorating for the holidays – I know what most of you are thinking, its to early – but common – how fun ….
but I do have to say, I am exhausted, so maybe a little nap first and then begin… we will see – stay tuned to find out how we do!

So my question is, will I ever quit counting the days that I have been smoke free? Good Lord I hope so!
I don’t have much I feel the “need” to share today, but I did realize that it’s been quite a while that I have posted any type of update… why you ask? well, life has been good to M and I over the past few weeks and maybe when one’s life is good one doesn’t have the need to put themselves out there and share as much.
Or – it could be that I am sick of people judging me…. it is quite amazing to sit back and simply watch and listen people. Have you ever witnessed, even when someone doesn’t say anything …. there are still words/comments/thoughts transpiring.
It also amazes me that we can’t be friends with who we want to be with ….. (I am sure that statement will make an eye brow or two raise)
M and I took the day off yesterday and had an amazing day
we cleaned the gutters, and did our leaves …. he was a wonderful help! Oh, and he pointed out the day before yesterday that he now needs to be the man of the house, I reassured him, that was not needed nor is his role, his role is to be my boy and enjoy his childhood.
that’s our update…. ROCK ON and PEACE OUT!
WOO HOO it’s Halloween, and M and I are SO EXCITED!
We had a blast last night carving his pumpkin and preparing for our big day today. Make sure you check out the photo’s!!!!
He is going as Speed Racer and he has requested that I go as Speed’s mom – Crack me up the boy does!
We are going trick or treating tonight with our friends, and he is beyond excited about that. Our friend, G, has alot to learn about our world….. M demanded to know last night what G was going to be for Halloween, and G stood there … contemplating – not a good thing in M’s world – as you all know – we are all about HOLIDAY’S and CELEBRATIONS – so G better figure something out and FAST – his boys are all ready with their costumes, but seriously G NEEDS TO GET ON BOARD – he has no idea what he is in store for tonight – LOL
We hope everyone has a Rock star time tonight – BE SAFE – and look for more updates/and photo’s soon – OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
well M had his final football game of the season and he just did AMAZING I was beaming with pride!!!! He was able to take 5 guys flags this game – he seriously is so much fun to watch!
So it’s been 17 days and not ONE cigarette I have had (GO ME) and I have gained 5 lbs. (again, GO ME) M and I are focused on eating 3 well rounded meals a day. (I am even doing it when he is with his dad)
we went for a very long walk last night, (he rode his bike) and I walked the dogs, it was wonderful
we also went and played football! He is a very good teacher, and coach’s me on my stance, or tossing ability.
We are both excited for Halloween! He has changed his mind now 4x – cracks me up. So you will all have to check back soon, to find out what he ends up being on the day! I am taking 1/2 day off to be with him, and honestly I am so excited you have no idea.
ROCK On and PEACE OUT!
what a weekend….. K’s moved this weekend, and M was able to help him do quite a bit. K’s house is very nice and as reported earlier, very close.
M’s thoughts for the weekend were, (his words) I will spend day time with you momma and night time with daddy. Cracks me up the way the boy figures things out. However, by yesterday my boy was exhausted and honestly a bit spent emtionally I think. He and I stayed in bed all day …. just snuggled and held one another. We played “sorry” and jenga last night which we hadn’t done in forever so YEA FOR US!
I had the front rooms walls fixed, and painted yesterday – woo hoo does it look BEAUTIFUL – I love love love it! BONUS – as my painter also painted the extra bedroom’s ceiling for me too
because we are going to be having a painting party soon in our future….. GO US
Today the sump pump is being installed and that makes me very happy / relieved as well. …. and my worker friends made me go “down under” to see it – AUGH GROSS … however, I am VERY HAPPY TO REPORT that I have now crawled 80% of my crawl space and there is NO MOLD and NO WATER – so thank you GOD.
The fences are all fixed, so I officially have a USEABLE Backyard and so do my fluffy faces …. Again, WOO HOO
Tonight we have a football game, parents vs. kids – I am going to wrap my knee as my boy truly wants me to participate – as much I don’t want to – I will …. GO TEAM GO!
oh, and did I mention that it has been 9 days and NO SMOKING
